Nose contest
Well known plastic surgeon traveled to Armenia at the invitation of Saint Nerses Hospital, to donate plastic surgeries three finalists in the "Most Armenian Nose Contest. The competition was created to raise funds for a new surgery wing at the hospital.
He picked up the tab for his travel expenses surgical team, sat on the panel of local artists and other well-known and helped to select the most outstanding women and men noses in the country. The finalists were chosen from photos submitted by newspapers, magazines, and the hospital site word-of-mouth. Within a week of announcing the contest, around 200 contestants entered. Then, the hospital has received about thirty applicants daily.
As a result, a small, thin and delicate beaks have been reported. The reshaped nose must generally match to the standards of beauty and Armenia mesh well with the other desirable features of human face.
One of the things that are considered in selecting the winner was to find the nose, which had little or no compliance with the face it graced. So, three finalists have noses, which in size and appearance, had become an obstacle. The first winner, in fact, had his nose broken five times.
