The color magazines are full of articles about breast enlargemet, nose improvement and liposuction, but too often they don't care about the risk of plastic surgery for mental health. Meanwhile, the effects can be serious and even lead to suicide, the result of research published in Canada.

Best North American women's magazines, plastic surgery is within the "normal" system of care for beauty. Articles with this topic appear next to the fashion column and diet tips, notes the author of study Andrea Polonijo from the University of British Columbia. While the physical risks are sometimes mentioned, the emotional risks are mentioned only in 18 percent articles.
