The demand for cosmetic surgery is on the rise, with a worsening obesity epidemic feeding a desire for quick-fix weight loss.

Cosmetic interventions, surgical and non-surgical, increased 8% from
2006 to 2007, and 457% in 10 years, the American Society for Aesthetic
Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has revealed.
